The news is delivered in segments (lasting 2 - 3 minutes). Your assignment is to watch the news and write two sentences per segment. The first sentence is the NEWS - what happened, to who, and why? The second sentence is a fact from the overall information given within a segment. Number the segments and leave a space between each segment. This can be typed.

1. Meteorologist are tracking Hurricane Earl’s path through the Atlantic Ocean towards the Carolinas. Powerful riptides cause hazardous conditions along the East Coast.
2. Two Yemen-born men were arrested in the Netherlands on the suspicion of terrorism. Their luggage was sent on a separate flight to Dubai containing cell phones taped to bottles of Pepto-Bismol, watches taped together, box cutters, and three large knives.
3. Salmonella poisoning prompted a federal inspection that lasted 2 weeks uncovering filthy conditions in two egg farms. This was the first inspection after the new standards took effect in July and the new administration has ordered inspections at all the major egg producers in hopes of avoiding another breakout.
4. President Obama delivered a statement from the White House concerning blocked legislation he says will help small businesses. Economist agree small businesses need help so that they can hire more people but they do not think the president’s legislation is the answer.

which video is it am confused
ReplyDeleteThere were five segments and the person of the week. When you click on watch full episodes the link that opens has a black screen, below that screen is a list of shows and a list titled playlist. When you click on 9/03/10 it should have an arrow pointing towards the right. There should be all the videos for Fridays show, in this case there are three separate videos. I hope this helps you.
